End of an era at the Mean Bean

Golden duo back in the day

As Suri begins her first full week as a federal employee (parkie on a fire crew) we can now begin to look back nostalgically at what has been a most glorious era in Mean Bean history. We have to go all the way back to Jenny Cobb, at around the turn of the century, for a comparable cohort for Senor Mean Joe.

With Suri behind the counter, slinging hot joe atcha' every morning, it seemed, for a few short moments, that all was right with the universe. She is a wry, sincere and lovingly kind person who made each new day a lot more fun to start. We miss you already.

No tall boy after bbq

Nathan Lane informed me tonight, at dinner, that a blog is a living thing that needs care and attention. My blog, my love, please forgive my absence. Leon also bestowed upon me his famous bbq sando and it was quite tasty. I had to force it down, given the bloated state I was in from my phatt dinner at the Bit. Indeed I was so full, I couldn't accept the generous offer of a Coors tall boy from Dean at Zion Rock.
